DROWNING POOL: Official 'Bleed With You' Lyric Video Released
The official lyric video for the song "Bleed With You"DROWNING POOLcan be seen below. The band is currently working on a proper video for the track, which comes of DROWNING POOL's fifth studio album,"Resilience". Released on April 9 via Eleven Seven Music, the CD sold 6,300 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 72 on The Billboard chart. The band teamed up with producerKato Khandwalla at House of Loud Studios in New Jersey, as well asJohn Feldmann (THE USED, STORY OF THE YEAR), and completed the album in Dallas.
DROWNING POOL recently posted video footage online taken on the group's third USO tour, which brought them to play for U.S. troops stationed in the U.K. on May 3 and Germany on May 5 and May 7. In addition to the performances, the members of the band participated in meet-and-greet events, signed autographs and spent time listening to servicemen and women's tales of being deployed overseas.
This was the first DROWNING POOL USO tour for Moreno, who joined the group last year following the departure of Ryan McCombs.
The band also played for more than 20,000 troops in 2005 and 2006 at bases in Kuwait, Iraq and Germany.
DROWNING POOL has also worked with veterans groups, including theWounded Warrior Project and the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), to help soldiers returning home, as drummer Mike Lucetold The Pulse Of Radio a while back: "We've gone over there, we've played shows in Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, South Korea, Germany, Guantanamo Bay, you know, and then the USO as well, it's all good stuff. To us it makes sense, you know. We're just four guys that got lucky to be in a band together, and after playing for the troops overseas we just felt we could do a little bit to help out, without getting on a soapbox and preaching to people."
DROWNING POOL invited military personnel from their hometown of Dallas to a record release party in April for "Resilience". All proceeds were donated to the USO.
PAPA ROACH Frontman On South American Tour Cancelation: 'I Am A Human, Not A Machine'
PAPA ROACH singer Jacoby Shaddix has apologized to the band's fans after the group's South American tour was canceled due to the fact that he is having "vocal issues."
In a posting on PAPA ROACH's Facebook page, Jacoby wrote: "To all the South American fans…
"I write this with a heavy heart.
"I have read a lot of posts about how you feel about us canceling our shows in South America… Some are positive and some are extremely negative. (Some went as far as saying we should die. WTF???!!!)
"Trust me, I would love to not have to deal with these vocal-cord issues at all.
"Don't forget — I am a HUMAN, not a MACHINE. When a guitar string breaks, you change it, but when a vocal cord breaks, time and silence is the ONLY thing that heals it.
"I pray to GOD I don't have to have surgery again.
"If you know anything about ME and PAPA ROACH is we always give it 100 percent. Sometimes that 100 percent breaks us.
"I would LOVE nothing more than to be in South America playing these shows.
"My HEART goes out to the people that bought bus and plane tickets to come see us. You're NOT ALONE — we bought tickets down there too (that are not refundable as well).
"As far as the money goes, we would love to be able to do the shows in South America and get paid. In fact, we are losing a ton of money by not going. But my HEALTH comes first.
"I am doing the best I can. But in this case, to some of you, fans, my best is not good enough. I PRAY that you find it in your hearts to understand. And trust me, we will reschedule and come to South America as soon as we can. I got nothin but love for ya!!!!
"Yeah, I know I didn't write in all caps this time… (Double clicking the CAPS sign over and over sucks HAHA).
There is no indication yet whether this will affect PAPA ROACH's slot on the upcoming Carnival Of Madness tour, which is scheduled to kick off on August 13 in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
It was just over a year ago — in August 2012 — that PAPA ROACH was forced to pull off the road for two months after Shaddix underwent surgery to remove nodes from his vocal cords.
Shaddix told The Pulse Of Radio at the time that as a result of his surgery he had to learn how to take better care of his voice. "I've got to create a new discipline for vocalizing, you know, really concentrate on my warm-ups," he said. "Concentrate on what I eat. You know, concentrate on getting proper rest — like, all these things that I never wanted to do before, like, I have to do now. 'Cause I'm gettin' old! [laughs]"
Asked by the Armed Forces Network at the end of last year how his voice was holding up, Shaddix said, "Voice is great. I'm slaying it on the shows so far and I feel really good. I was definitely blessed to go to the right doctor and get my surgery performed by him. It was scary, but I'm good."
PAPA ROACH has been touring in support of its 2012 album "The Connection", which debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard album chart. The latest single from the disc is "Leader Of The Broken Hearts".
KORN's 'The Paradigm Shift' Pushed Back A Week
According to Korn.com, KORN's much-anticipated 11th studio album, "The Paradigm Shift" (Prospect Park), has had its release date pushed back to October 8 from the previously announced October 1. The follow-up to 2011's "The Path Of Totality" features the return of guitarist Brian "Head" Welch to the lineup after more than eight years away. His last album with the band was 2003's "Take A Look In The Mirror".
"Never Never", the first single from "The Paradigm Shift", will arrive online and at radio stations on August 12 and singer Jonathan Davisshared some insight with The Pulse Of Radio into what it's about. "I mean, it's about relationships," he said. "it's about anything. It seems like you try and try to make things work and you repeatedly fail at it. It's just like, throw your hands up in the air and give up, and it's that kind of vibe. I was feeling that towards life, basically."
Other songs on the new set, which was recorded with producer Don Gilmore (LINKIN PARK, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, LACUNA COIL) atBuck Owens' studio in KORN's original hometown Bakersfield and at Los Angeles's famed NRG Recording Studios, include "Prey For Me", "Love & Meth", "Spike In My Veins", "Mass Hysteria", "Paranoid And Aroused" and "Victimized".
The deluxe version of "The Paradigm Shift" will include a 60-minute documentary on Welch's return to the group and two bonus tracks, "Wish I Wasn't Born Today" and "Tell Me What You Want".
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's 'Wrong Side Of Heaven' Enters U.S. Chart
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's fourth studio album, "The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell Volume 1", sold around 112,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart. "The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell Volume 1" is the first half of a two-record set, with the second half due to arrive sometime this fall. Guitarist Zoltan Bathory told The Pulse Of Radio that the idea for a two-record set surfaced after the band finished its writing sessions for the project with around 25 songs. "Generally you pick your best 12 and the rest of them become bonus tracks and this and that, or you keep it for next record, whatever," he said. "But you know, when we tried to take away songs, we realized, no, no, no, we don't want to take this one or that one. And when we went to the label, they said the same thing: 'Well, keep 11.' And so we were like, 'OK, well, here's 25, you pick it,' and they couldn't pick it either. So we were like, 'OK, now this is gonna be a double record.' That's how pretty much that happened."
The first single, "Lift Me Up", features guest vocals from JUDAS PRIESTfrontman Rob Halford.
The new CD also features guest appearances from IN THIS MOMENTsinger Maria Brink, SOULFLY frontman Max Cavalera, HATEBREEDvocalist Jamey Jasta and rapper Tech N9ne.
