AWOLNATION Books Studio to Begin Work on Next Album
After two years of non-stop touring to promote their debut album, AWOLNATION is now ready to begin work on their next release.
The band’s label, Red Bull Records, reveals that the guys have just booked a “three-month stint in Red Bull Studio LA” to record the follow-up to 2011’s Megalithic Symphony. In addition, the label notes fans can expect to get their hands on the group’s sophomore effort sometime in 2014. A title for the record has yet to be announced.
While Megalithic Symphony peaked at #84 on Billboard 200 albums chart, the release featured the hit single “Sail,” which was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America in June.
AWOLNATION will most likely hit the studio after they wrap-up the final leg of their North American tour October 6 with a performance at the SECU Arena in Towson, MD.

Alice in Chains Release Videos for “The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here” & “Voices”
Alice in Chains is giving us a double dose of videos featuring tracks from their latest album, The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here. On Thursday, the band posted clips for both “The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here” and “Voices” on their YouTube channel.
The video for “The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here” follows the cast of a children’s TV show as they prepare to tape their next live show. While things seem to be going well in the beginning, they quickly take a turn for the worse when the cast begins to fight with each other and trash the set, much to the horror of the children watching the program at home.
The band takes a much different approach for their “Voices" video. That clip features the guys performing the track in a bar, interspersed with footage of neon signs and billboards that feature the song’s lyrics.
Alice in Chains is currently trekking across North America on the Rockstar Energy UPROAR Festival. Other bands set to take the main stage on the tour include Jane's Addiction, Coheed and Cambria,Middle Class Rut and former Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan's new band, Walking Papers.
